Serial Killer on the Lose

It has been previously reported that four homeless men were murdered in Tshwane. Police have declared these crimes as attacks on the homeless by a serial killer roaming around Tshwane. The homeless feared for their lives as this killer is still not held captive by police and nothing was being done to protect the homeless of the brutal killer.

The Tshwane Leadership Foundation (TLF) initiative is to address issues of the system as homeless people in the City are not provided with shelter and that the available shelters do not have enough space to accommodate all the homeless individuals in the city. TLF approached the City of Tshwane on addressing this challenge as the matter of urgency due to the serial killer whose main target seems to be the homeless.

The City of Tshwane agreed to providing security and not shelter to protect the homeless during the night. The homeless were urged to sleep in groups where the municipality's metro police will be able to safeguard them at night.

The total number of deaths has since then not increased, and the serial killer seems to have stopped with the murders even though police have not yet arrested the culprit.

TLF will continue to stand for the homeless and fight for their well-being.
