Urban Studio partners with Tshwane Leadership Foundation to educate the homeless

The challenge is the lack of information and knowledge on the theological formation from below, within and through leadership development in the City. The lack of sustainable urban social change, freedom and justice is results in uneducated, unskilled, and uninformed individuals who have given-up on life as a journey.

The initiative taken was to approach the Urban Studio for a partnership in addressing these issues. The Urban Studio's mission is in-line with the Tshwane Leadership Foundation (TLF) goal to address social issues in a Christian manner while creating a high-spirited Christian believer.

The Urban Studio and TLF agreed to be in partnership and address the challenge together with the assistance of the City of Tshwane municipality. The partnership will mainly address education, training, capacity, building urban policy & strategy, assessing impact, documenting & disseminating information and provide places where learning & practicing will take place.

The partnership has so far managed to develop community based theological formation, co-research with the participating community. City of Tshwane provides the required classrooms, policy influence and research is being the focus with the aim of making policy changes soon.

Not every uneducated person chose not to receive education, somewhere denied the opportunity to get education. Our partnership will certainly create a Godly learning environment and decrease the number of uneducated homeless people.
